WELCOMING MACK AND JACK

2022 is off to a flying start and the year ahead is looking bright!

It is with great delight and as a very proud Grandfather that I can officially introduce my two grandsons, Jack Pollock (Jack Harrison Shiraz) and Mack Naylor (Mackenzie William 1896 Riesling) to the business.

It was always a dream of mine when I began these businesses that the grandkids would be involved in one way or another when they’re ready, and I’m thrilled that we’ve reached that day.

As many of you would know, Jack has been living with myself and Marilyn at our Eden Valley home since 2019, where he’s taken over management of the property and has even introduced black angus cattle to the portfolio. We also have the future goal of him managing the winery that we’re in the process of building. He’s always on the go and puts in huge days to keep our property up to scratch. He works closely with out viticulturalist to manage the vineyard to ensure we produce the best possible fruit each vintage.

Then we have Mack, the newest addition. He’s started with us as of the beginning of this month after finishing Uni in December with what we’re sure to be flying colours. He’s come on board as our accountant and will be working closely with Nigel, with the long-term goal of one day becoming our next Chief Financial Officer. He’s based up in Buderim and will have regular trips down to Eden Valley. He’s keen to learn the ins and outs of business life so will also be working alongside our marketing and sales team to get full understanding of our businesses.

I’m also stoked to have Charli working in our Buderim office as our brilliant all-rounder. When she’s not flat out with university, she’s busy helping pack, prepare, deliver, and keep the team organised. We love having her as part of the team and greatly value her input. Bronte is also busy studying and working as a dance instructor, but she’s always willing to lend a hand packing and labelling Brockenchack Wine for international orders when needed.

All in all, I’m a pretty bloody lucky Grandfather to have four grandchildren who all share my love for business and are all incredibly passionate about their own individual fields.

You’ll hear more from Jack and Mack over the coming months I have no doubt, but in the meantime, stay happy, healthy and with a few bottles of Brockenchack Wines in the cellar.

Cheers,

Trev
