This wine is named after our grandson Jack who is currently training to become our future winemaker and viticulturist. Made from our single vineyard Shiraz vines which boast an average vine age of 50yrs, our cool climate premium Shiraz is handcrafted to be elegant and memorable.

An intense, yet approachable wine style, in aroma, flavour, complexity and nature. Substantial time spent maturing in fine French oak, then further bottle ageing prior to release, gives us the opportunity to deliver our Eden Valley Shiraz, developed as expected.

In 2016 our growing conditions in Eden Valley were highlighted by above average annual rain, a cooler spring and an early start to summer that lead to slower growth and excellent vine health.

As always, Jack Harrison stamps its arrival clearly with familiar ruby red depth of colour, evolving rich bramble, red currant aromas and selected oak accents.

Tightly structured on first pour, time in the glass soon grants access to unmistakable deep flavours of ripe plum, blackberry, vanilla and mocha complemented by white peppered savoury tannins.

Attaining the much sought-after balance of weighted texture and soft acidity on the palate, it sets the scene for at least a decade of beneficial cellar development.
