Our Mackenzie William Riesling is named after our eldest grandson. Our Eden Valley Riesling is delicately picked from our longstanding vines planted in the 1960s, and 1980s, and from our cherished, deep-rooted 1890s vines – believed to be some of the oldest in Australia. Each batch of fruit bestows its unique attributes, creating quintessential Eden Valley citrus and minerally characteristics which our region is so well known for, and a complexity that ensures our dry style’s impressive length of finish.

Our 2022 Mackenzie William exhibits all the fresh aromatic citrus finery that Eden Valley Riesling is so well known for.

Pressed lemon, fresh lime flavours, cut green apple and a tease of spring orange blossom zip across the palate in generous verses. Soft acidity and minerality form the linear rhythm section of this elegantly lengthy dry Riesling style.

This is the 12th vintage of our Mackenzie William Riesling, made from vines dating back to 1896. These are the oldest riesling vines in the Barossa and possibly Australia. Our Riesling is made in an approachable style making it enjoyable upon release but will age gracefully for a decade under the right cellaring conditions.
