A milestone birthday calls for extra special wines. Trev had a look in his museum and decided this set was an excellent way to showcase not only Jacko but the potential of his wine. The marketing girls decided there needed to be a Brockenchack cap as well (because if you know Jacko, he is ALWAYS in a Brockenchack cap).
You're immediately struck by the intense choc spice box and cassis laced aromatics that persist and lift on second and third assessments. There’s a lot going on from the start! The palate follows the nose with a big solid mouthful of Shiraz fruit, layered well over firmer tannins, all the way through a lengthy and cooling palate. Ageing potential of another 10 years yet - but you won’t need to leave the 2010 Jack Harrison in the bottle another 10 years for it to show its strengths - they’re on display now. This wine is named after our grandson Jack who is currently training to become our future winemaker and viticulturist. Made from our single vineyard Shiraz vines which boast an average vine age of 50 years, our cool climate premium Shiraz is handcrafted to be elegant and memorable.
